About Our Student Programs

Our number-one goal at the Lowe Institute of Political Economy is to provide students with opportunities to apply their classroom learnings in economics to real-world problems through supervised research. Through our student programs at the Lowe Institute, students from Claremont McKenna College and the other Claremont Colleges team up with experienced faculty members to conduct original research through various types of projects and initiatives.

Learn about our Lowe Institute student programs:

Student Employment: The Lowe Institute of Political Economy has a variety of paid, research-focused roles available for students at Claremont McKenna College and the other Claremont Colleges. Learn about the qualifications for each role and how to apply.

CMC Fed Challenge Team: We put together a team of CMC students to compete in the National College Fed Challenge. Learn about the Challenge and how to join the team.

Robert M. Weekley Summer Internship Program: Students from CMC and the other Claremont Colleges have the opportunity to secure up to $10,000 in funding from the Lowe Institute for an economic or public policy summer internship. Read about the eligibility requirements.
